The History of Cristais de Gramado
A Gramado crystals is an artistic crystal factory that was born out of a family dream more than 20 years ago. Located in Gramado, Rio Grande do Sul, the factory is now a national reference in the production of artistic crystal and one of the main tourist attractions in the Serra Gaúcha.
The inspiration for Gramado crystals came from Muranois a small island off Venice, Italy. The ancient art of master glassmakers is the purpose of Cristais de Gramado, and the pieces created are the result of a great deal of technical skill and artistic creativity.
Over the years, Cristais de Gramado has constantly evolved. It began with the production of artistic crystal, then expanded to include cutting, sandblasting, 2D/3D laser engraving and contemporary jewelry. Today, with more than 24,000 pieces of semi-jewelry, Cristais de Gramado is the largest contemporary jeweler in Brazil.
