The Farol Brewery, located in Canela, Rio Grande do Sul, is a fascinating tourist destination for lovers of craft beer and German culture. Founded in 2003 by the Bausch family, originally from Germany, the brewery maintains the brewing tradition following the German Purity Law of 1516, using only water, malt, hops and yeast in its recipes. The building, built in a 4-hectare park of native forest, stands out for its 30m-high tower with 137 steps, offering a spectacular view of the region.

• Opening hours: Tuesday to Friday, 5pm to midnight; Saturday and Sunday, 11am to midnight
• Guided tours: Available with tastings of six beer styles, including a personalized glass. Tours take place from Tuesday to Saturday at 12pm, 5pm and 7pm, and Sunday at 12pm, lasting approximately 25 minutes. Adults pay R$89.00 per person, with exemption for children up to 10 years old and half price for young people aged 11 to 17 (without tasting).
